人极少，但是一个employee大概都配备50-100个的外包工

你这个是算上DOD和邮局的了，其他所有agency加起来都不到20万，你可以查一下。我对这个比较熟悉

As of September 2022, the U.S. federal government employed approximately 2.18 million civilian workers in the executive branch.  Excluding the Department of Defense (DoD) and the U.S. Postal Service, the number of federal employees is significantly lower. The DoD’s civilian workforce comprises about 676,840 employees, and the U.S. Postal Service employs approximately 600,000 individuals.  Subtracting these figures from the total, there are roughly 903,160 federal employees working in other departments and agencies.
It’s important to note that these numbers can fluctuate due to factors such as budget changes, policy decisions, and hiring practices. For the most current and detailed information, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) provides comprehensive data on federal employment.

你没算va,dhs,doj, 这里面其实都是军警，还有财政部下面的特情局和国税局。文职里面其实federal employee真的挺少。
