Also, though you can move freely to another state, but most people just follow the best jobs available to them. True that 牛人s can find dream jobs anywhere they like, but most of us average people cannot. If I leave my current job and find a similar one somewhere else, most likely I will lose 20% to 30% of my current salary.

A friend of mine got his phD about nine years ago and got a pretty well-paid IT job. They bought their house about three years ago, right before the pandemic, and they did not get their green cards until about a year ago. They are still about four years away from being naturalized. So they bought their house about seven years before they become US citizens. Guess how much the housing market will have gone up in these seven years and how much rent they will have paid during the same time.

Everyone's reaction to racial discrimination is different.
Seems to me that ID's on this board who live in TX are okay wiht this bill. I guess we should respect their choice and leave them alone.
However, if it was in Cal, I would fight against it.

Some people still choose TX over other place probably because there are also some good things there for them.
It's not that there is something 更可怕 in other places without, or more exactly, with less discrimination. It's more about they have better opportunities there in TX, and they weigh these opportunities more than the discrimination.

2. I don't know much about SA, and I don't know if there are jobs there for me.
3. If SA is really good, they might not want me to go there.

Plus, only certain people find better opportunities in TX, not all. After all, Cal still has a lot more people than TX.
