the ukrainian have been accumulating more water into controlled water areas/bodies, from its north/kiev region to zaporozhia

maybe, just maybe, they would set free huge amounts of water to flood the great plain in the south, in case a counteroffensive is turned back into a quick retreating with russian pursuing...
if that is a main backup plan, russia, as well, could bomb the banks/dams to release the water, to its own advantages ---- seriously hindering ukrainians' logistics etc
