A RIA Novosti report about the storming of the building of a former garment factory in the central part of Artyomovsk caused a great resonance.
According to the LostArmor portal, the first assault on the building (1) began on April 8 from the private sector (2) adjacent to the factory on the south side. The advance to the building took place under small arms and artillery resistance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The sensational incident with a sniper's bullet hitting an attack aircraft helmet (3) and rescue is an episode of hostilities in the vicinity of the building and is most likely associated with an assault. Fire support for attack aircraft was carried out from the positions of PMC Wagner located to the east of the factory in multi-storey buildings on Sadovaya Street 181 (4).
By the 15th, it could already be noted that the building was already under the control of Wagner PMC employees, since the fire impact of the Armed Forces of Ukraine moved to a block with private houses to the west of the factory (5).

However, the building of the garment factory, which is the dominant in relation to the private sector in the direction to the west, was not destroyed and became a platform for further actions of the PMC Wagner units in the western direction for the development of Artyomovsk.
