梦还是要有的。当然，要一代财富自由的加州梦，而不是三代穷查理的美国梦。

显然统计有问题，65岁退休的，至少65岁还没死吧
50岁退休的，65岁可能已经死了，样本条件都不一样，
没法比，这个好像是N年前GE对自己的退休员工的一个统计
人数太少，没有意义

The study found that male Dutch civil servants over the age of 54 who retired early were an astounding 42 percent less likely to die over the subsequent five years compared to those who continued working. 就是样本问题。有些人是钱太多了主动提前退休，有些人是干不动了被迫提前退休。
你想要什么样的结论先把樱桃捡好了就能有什么样的结论。
我们加州吃瓜群众关心的是自己更接近于哪一群人。

老牛的优点/优势没啥钱要花。拿SS估计也够用能每年出国旅游或者买包包了。
缺点就是掏钱的时候容易觉得啥都贵。总觉得是不是不要花了多买几股SPY。

还没老过谁能知道钱够不够？我认识国内50多岁上亿资产的朋友来美国买了个3百万的房子，每年各种开销20多万美金，烧了几年现在想卖房downsize了，就是担心钱不够。这还没有long term care的费用呢！newkids_on_the_block 写了： 2024年 2月 1日 14:34 大多是都是钱不够还得干。

很多人整天想着什么提早退休都是为了面子，为了炫耀。再说了，老人无所事事就很容易老年痴呆。活是活着，痴呆了有啥用？

我是不太了解。50岁应该是精力还旺盛经验最丰富的时候，怎么就会退休什么也不干了。人整天无所事事，其实更容易生病。

下午去打个乒乓球，或者去SOCIAL一下，就要回家做饭了，
自己做点健康的吃吃。同事一样年纪的，已经有两个得癌症
每天跟癌症做斗争去了，我准备退了
