保险都是按被保人的风险精确计价的，占保险公司的便宜都是不大可能的。保险公司算计被保人的懒惰怕麻烦会每年悄悄涨价，所以有必要每两三年对有信誉的保险公司询一下价。保险公司不会讨价还价，因为每家的计费模型有差别，如果保费差别过大，只有换保险公司。

小车 turbo engine 是不是寿命较短？据说容易 overheat，

my car has a 1.4L turbo engine, I have driven it for 12 years and the mileage is 76K miles. It is still running strong.

Talking of overheat, it is about the whole cooling system. I have changed and will change the following items of the cooling system.















I bought this car new in 2012.

In 2019, the item #1, the coolant hose was brocken, I changed it.

In 2023, the item #2, the coolant reservoir was leaking at the bottom. I changed that. I also changed out the item #3, water outlet. The water outlet was good, but it is a plastic structure and almost 10 year old, I changed it out as a precaution.

I am planning to change the item #4, the thermstat, also as a precaution. well I admit that I just want to swap the part of this car, and the part cost is ~$20.

this car's thermstat is controlled by car computer through
1. heating wax.
2. heating wire (electrical resistence).

It has two temperature setting.

engine high load, 95C
engine low load, 105C

Also the cap pressure of coolant reservoir is 20 PSI.

With the high operating temperature, 105C and coolant pressure, 20 PSI, the cooling system is delicate. However if you take care of it, it performs as designed. Plus when engine really gets overheating, the computer will do things accordingly, like turn off AC, run engine at low load by retard the ignition timing, or may even shut off the eigine.

I was furious and went to court, this is the only occasion I experience US court. unfortunately l lost the case. Maybe that the reason I form an attitude towards white woman, sounds ridiculous but I cannot help myself.

2. I always drive economic car and I can afford the car with ease. Like when I lost my civic in 2012, I went out and brought the cruze in three weeks, in Cash, $17,500. Now my car only values ～$5,000. If it got totalled, I might buy another new car, $5,000 does not help much.

My belief is, never buy insurance if you can afford the total lose.

Live an economic life is a happy life, you are free by not owing anything to anyone, US government included.

多谢详细解释。不过确实听说对小的 turbo-charged engine 来说保养非常重要。需要严格定期换机油等等。看起来你的车保养的非常好。又是自己动手，高效。
