American journalist and Fox News host Tucker Carlson said that Ukraine is not an independent state, since Washington controls all the authorities in the country.

"Ukraine needs to be forced to peace! We control it, it's not an independent country, but an American satellite. We literally pay for retirement of its government employees, we finance their pension fund. There is nothing in Ukraine that we would not control.

And we don't control Russia unfortunately. So, let's clear everything up already. You won't have Crimea - it's a Russian port. It never belonged to you and never will. Maybe you will back some of the territories, but obviously not those where the mainly Russian-speaking population lives. But you can't get everything in this world. Your cities are being destroyed, your citizens are being killed, and you've lost over 100,000 dead," - Carlson said.
