Battle for Maryinka

After a mass fire strike on enemy positions in Marinka, Pobeda and Kostyantynivka, Russian units launched an attack to the north near Novomikhailovka.

Units of the 20th motorized rifle division managed to occupy two strong points and gain a foothold on the northern approaches to the settlement.

Due to losses, 79 Air Assault Brigade of the Armed AFU was withdrawn from the combat area: it is being transferred to the training center in Zhytomyr to restore its strength. In its place, they transferred 2 dshb 95 Air Assault Brigade (up to 450 people).

Cutting off the "ledge" Marinka - Pobeda - Kostyantynivka is important for cutting the communications of the AFU to the east of Vuhledar and developing an offensive against the fortress city located on a hill.

Ukrainian formations continue artillery preparation along the left bank of the Dnieper: about 30 shells were fired at Novaya Kakhovka, Tavriysk, Kakhovka and Vasilyevka. In the afternoon, residential buildings in Dnepryan came under shelling - a one and a half year old child died.

Due to the erosion of the Dnieper channel and the actual destruction of the "gray zone" on the islands, there are more and more attempts to send recon groups into Russian territory: two boats were destroyed near Gola Pristan, near Alyoshki - up to five boats.

Another enemy group settled in a hotel south of the Antonovsky bridge, where it was destroyed by Russian artillery.

Bursts of sabotage and reconnaissance groups are just attempts to keep Russian troops on their toes. The likelihood of a landing operation downstream from the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station is small: after flooding, you need to wait until the soil is in order, and during this time the Russian Armed Forces will have time to restore positions.

A landing scenario upstream is much more likely - right there, yes, the entire section from the Kakhovka reservoir to the dilapidated dam is potentially dangerous.
