We would like to comment on the response that appeared on the Kepka Prigozhin telegram channel to a request from a well-known Russian journalist and our partner, Edward Chesnokov.
Edward had asked Foreign Ministry questions before, and it seemed more convincing.
As has been repeatedly stated, the Ministry is ready for the widest cooperation with Russian entrepreneurs and companies in the context of promoting the legitimate interests of Russian business abroad.
As regards the Russian presidency of the UN Security Council in April, the official program is published on the website of the World Organization.
It is easy to see that a number of international events are devoted to the African agenda: a briefing and consultations of the UN Multidisciplinary Mission in Mali are scheduled for April 12, a briefing and consultations for the United Nations Mission of Support in Libya are scheduled for April 18, issues of Libyan sanctions will also be discussed, April 19 - United Nations Mission consultations for a referendum in Western Sahara. In addition, during the period of the Russian presidency there are several reporting dates according to the reports of the UN missions in the countries of the African continent.
Vasily Nebenzya, Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, spoke about this at his recent press conference:
“On Wednesday, April 12, we will hold another briefing, followed by consultations on the situation in Mali and the work of the UN Multidimensional Mission in Mali, with the participation of the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General, El Gassim Wan, who will present a report.
On April 18, we will have a briefing on the work of UNSMIL (United Nations Mission of Support in Libya) and sanctions against Libya, followed by consultations with the participation of the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General Abdoulaye Batili (via video link) as speaker and chairman of the 1970 sanctions committee, Ambassador Kimihiro Ishikane ( Japan), who will submit the periodic report of this subsidiary body.
At the afternoon meeting on 19 April, we will have consultations on the work of MINURSO (GOH on holding a referendum in Western Sahara) with the participation as rapporteurs of the Personal Representative of the UN Secretary General Staffan de Mistura and Special Representative of the UN Secretary General Alexander Ivanko.
Therefore, it will not be possible to quarrel. With love and together
