I remember how shocked this sub was when Adams won the primary.

Social issues are important but a lot of people, especially poor, marginalized people who live in the outer parts of the city and take the subway for an hour each day just want to feel safe, especially with the rise in violence these past few years.

I mean, the GOP wins with Chinatowns in the last few elections already show an unfortunate pattern. Even if they didn't win overall votes, the gains during Dem primary/mayoral/mid term was startling.

I know a lot of Asians families now being to read the post and fox because "the MSM are hiding crimes against Asians" and only "nypost care about Asian Americans school issues"

The Asian population who recently experienced massive spike in violence are watching this event unravel closely and who the politicians are paying lip service to.
