You do NOT need to change to H1B first. There is NO laws that prohibits TN visa holders to apply for green card using eb2. there are a lot of people did this.

可以申请绿卡。但除非可以同时递485， 否则拿到绿卡前离开美国就不能再申请TN 签证回美。
