请问:要plead guilty吗? 罚单"Fail to produce registration"

周末在纽约一个活动路口等车时，被警察拦住，吃了个罚单 "FAIL TO PRODUCE REGISTRATION" (有，但不在车子里，当时拿不出来）
警察好像跟我说要把registration寄过去，但当时有点紧张，没听明白（或者警察没说）要不要plead guilty
智慧的华人网xdjm们，请问我这种情况，寄回罚单和复印件的时候，要plead guilty还是plead not guilty？罚单背面有选项，必须二选一。谢谢！

这种没什么guilty不guilty吧，一般按要求寄去（复印件）就dismiss 了。

我以前在加州拿過這罰單。好像是去法院出示有效牌照，交$10還是$20手續費就好。
每個地方可能不同，打電話問問。
那次我是 stop sign 沒停穩，車裡的牌照登記忘記帶上新的。華人警察放我一馬，沒給我 stop sign 罰單，就開了個 registration 過期。

好像沒有這Violation Code。建議你就按照這單子上寫的做。
至於是否guilty，要看它這問的是什麼。例如，它問，這車是否有註冊，你應選Not Guilty，因為你的車是有註冊，只是你忘了放在車上。如果問的是其他句子，你就要看仔細了，句子的意思差別要分辨。

有闲空就plead not guilty，然后出庭，拿出registration较大概率能dismiss
没空就plead guilty，交钱了事，问题是不便宜，大概$200多

Never plead guilty. 因为这是自绝所有脱罪理由。
因为这等于说你没有任何理由能支持你的行为或立场。
在米国，犯罪必须有犯罪的意图，即Criminal Intent。
显然你没有Criminal Intent。所以并没有犯罪。
生病是特好理由。例如收到Registration时刚好人生病。
结果忘了把它放在车里。显然你是有Reg，现已放车里了。
然后强调过去从没犯错，这是第一次，以后肯定不会再犯。

哥建议plead not guilty，出庭时说车老婆开的，自己一时没找到registration在哪儿; 不要说没带或者放在家里，按规定那个registration要带着的。

這理由好，而且很柔軟。

去有關部門 show 一下有效文件就好了，出啥庭。

plead no contest. 由法官大人决定。 这是跟俞敏洪学的。
