What does the song lyrics mean for 'Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)' by Eurythmics / Marylin Manson?
The song at its core covers the basic encounters you'll face in life.
Sweet dreams are made of these, who am I to disagree - everyone has a different dream or interpretation of value in life, and a different idea of how to achieve that goal or take that path.
The world is large and there is a lot to be explored. At the end of the day, everyone has something they are chasing and it can take them everywhere or nowhere.
You'll meet a lot of people in the world - some of them want to use you (personal gain) some of them want to get used by you (this carries a hard sexual connotation but I think it also nods towards people who have very little personal motivation and want to be placed somewhere by someone), then of course we have true abusers and sadistic or powerless individuals who accept anything that happens to them and live entirely as victims of circumstance.

谢谢分享观点。没想这么多。
我们洗手间有个音乐盒，存了好多歌儿，常年低音循环播放，以前听过这歌儿，不知道叫啥，觉得挺好听。今天又碰上了，就在洗手间听完，记住了一句歌词，回来一搜，搜着了，就post出来，链接到博客里，要是上班路上，电台没好听的，就听自己存的。
I do not think I have met a lot of people in the world.所以，其实并不了解人和人之间的关系，啥叫利用被利用，出门找工作，上赶着被人利用，人还不一定肯。关于abuse 和be abused，所有来美心班吵架的估计多少都有点虐待和被虐综合症。
我以后决心不写政治贴了，右派这些nuts骂人太狠了。
不过你最后写的那个受害者心态，倒是有感慨，一旦有了受害者心态，对事情的批评容易take in，误以为是针对个人。记得以前我的mentor对我说：职场上不要把批评take into person，不要情绪化。对我来说，这是非常重要的一条。
