Mutual fund orders are usually executed once a day after the market closes at 4 PM Eastern Time (ET). If an order is placed after hours, it will be executed at the beginning of the next trading session. The order is executed at the next available net asset value (NAV), which is calculated after the market closes and is typically posted by 6 PM ET. For most orders placed before 4 PM ET, the price is usually the closing price for the current day.
