Natural draft的不需要。
有的water heater是power vent则需要。

现在高效的都要用电，主要用来控制和点火，还有那种直排的需要驱动风机。老式的用pilot的不需要电源。

natural draft的也有需要的，我之前买过一个，用来控制和点火，而且还qualify peco rebate。

这个rod是防腐蚀用的，不需要电

说的没有大错，Pilot火苗让热电偶保持几十毫伏的电压控制煤气开关。

点火靠手动 跟一圆店买的打火机一个原理 压电陶瓷 不需要电
火苗热偶发电确保安全 没火苗阀门就关了 防止天然气泄漏

有些热水器点火是靠 pilot fire 的，至少我家的是这样的。

压电方式打火，就象打火机。打火以后小火就一直在烧的，我两个热水器有一个已经十多年没有点过火了，有一个中间点过两次火。

老型号用火柴点火，Pilot火苗烧在热电偶上产生的电压控制煤气开关。稍微新一点型号点火用压电材料产生电火花点燃Pilot。总之，开关是热电偶控制的，和市电无关。

真是只要自己不尴尬，尴尬的就是别人。
没人否认有用电控制和打火的燃气热水器。
人们在讨论有只用气，不用另外接电的热水器，有疑问不理解没啥，自己search学习一下这么难吗？
