Helltel California
On a smoky dry highway, ash in the air
Warm smell of burning homes rising up everywhere
Up ahead in the distance, I saw the flames grow high
The mountains turned orange, my hope began to die,
I had to stop and cry
There they stood by the hydrant, lady bag in their hand
And I was thinkin’ to myself, “This could be hell, or this could be sand”
Then they grabbed a lady’s bag, poured water all the way
There were voices in the city, I thought I heard them say
“Welcome to the Helltel California
Such a fire place (such a fire place)
Such a smoky face
Plenty of room in the Helltel California
Same season happens every year (same season happens every year)
You can toast it here”
The reservoirs are empty, they don’t have enough flow, uh
They’ve got a lot of empty promises, but nothing to show
How they battle in the streets, running out of supplies
Some blame the wind, some blame the skies
They’d rather save a smelt (fish), let human being die
I called up the Mayor, “What’s your excuse this time?”
Hir said, “We’ve cut the budget, gotta focus on beautiful DEI ”
Even in their regime like hell, the chambers convened,
Debating funds for a legal battle against Trump high.
They love the illegals, they’re too busy with the fight
To save their people, they’d rather focus on own citizens' rights
And still, those voices keep blaming from far away
Wake you up in the middle of the night just to hear them say
“Welcome to the Helltel California
Such a fireplace (such a fireplace)
Such a smoky face
They’re losing it all in the Helltel California
What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise)
Bring your excuses”
Firefighters with lady bags,
trying to save the day
And they said, “We’re all just helpless here, but we’re doing okay”
And in the government chambers,
they gathered for the feast
They stab it with their words,
but they can’t stop the beast
Last thing I remember,
I was running for the border
I had to find the exit,
following the way SpaceX shows before
“Relax,” said the governor, “This is the liberal land,
You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave”
