#1 Sidebars Extension for phpBB 3.3.14

I am evaluating phpBB 3.3.14 and a few other open-source forum software. Wondering how to add both left and right sidebars to support Google AdSense?
I noticed there is an extension "phpBB 3.2 / 3.3 Sidebar Extension - Responsive" (https://codecanyon.net/item/phpbb-sideb ... e/21454084). Has anyone used it in phpBB 3.3.14? The demo link provided there is not working.
I am trying to use a website for people to refer contractors (plumbers, landscapers, etc.) and share their experience. Will a forum site serve the purpose?
