Top U.S. military officials stationed around the world have been summoned to Virginia by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for a meeting next week, four U.S. officials said, but the reason has not been disclosed. The large number of generals who could be in attendance, including those working in active conflict zones, is without recent precedent, officials said.
