Michigan 大公立。肯定得招不少本州的中等生。不知道这个会不会影响有些学科 比如premed, 化学物理课都是要求有GPA的。它们给个pass. 不是耽误人家半年？

MIT 第一年没有GPA, 是如何不影响premed 学生选课的？ 比如医学院要求化学，有机化学，物理等都得是有letter grades的。可是不可能大家都等到第二年才选这些课吧？

没办法啊，招了这么多DEI的学生，课搞难了这帮学生过不了，反手还会告叫兽歧视，叫兽们也是左右为难。

看看这个，去年底的文章，很多普通大学一年级本科生连基本math都成问题。当然哈佛的DEI学生们估计不会这么烂，但是估计做不出基础微积分的恐怕不是少数。

我当年当math TA时，100个新生里只有几个还行。其他的都是小学水平。

在以前DEI横行的时候，MIT是这些top学校里面少数的官方说不搞种族配额的，而且他们还要仔细解释为啥这个合法。虽说那会MIT还是有DEI office的，但是因为没有配额的压力所以起码入学学生的质量还是能够得到一定保障的。这也是为啥MIT一直以来黑墨的比例都相对低，基本就是20%以下。为此以前黑墨们还质疑过这事，说他们在MIT的入学比例为啥远低于他们的人口比例，但是MIT顶住了压力。

对比哈佛，在SCOTUS crackdown AA之前，哈佛的入学黑墨比例一直都是在接近或者高于30%的水平，2023年之后这个数字才下降到了20%多，但就是这样仍然比MIT高不少。

一个健康的校园生态肯定是要高中低各档的学生都要有 要不然就太卷了

社会也不需要人人都做微积分

但是改规则就不大对了 不能理解 第一年过去了以后就没问题了吗

其实问题都不大

一个健康的校园生态肯定是要高中低各档的学生都要有 要不然就太卷了

社会也不需要人人都做微积分

但是改规则就不大对了 不能理解 第一年过去了以后就没问题了吗

不要想当然。对这些低档学生，叫兽们要怎么做？给C，D，F？你只要敢给，人家就敢告你歧视。

实际上前些年有人对学生们做过统计，发现黑人学生们本科6年能毕业的比例很低，连一半都不到，墨也就是一半多一点，这个数字在白人那是六七成，asian是8成以上。

国内都没啥人愿意学文了，美国这边还无恙无恙的

专业都是入学后自选的 又不是高考报考一锤定音的

聪明人自然会向钱多的地方聚拢

文科也有律师一样好的出路

其他去学小众专业 要么是家里不差钱的 要么就是真心热爱

美国不一样。文科的当权，可以生成很多职位，而且都是领导，指挥我们这些干技术的。拿着高工资。
