Nothing is wrong for cleaning up before some important event.
2022 LA super bowl, a lot of graffiti were removed, and lots of homeless encampments were removed too. Most people on this board were not even aware of that.
When you have visitors coming to your home, will you wash the dirty laundry that's been hidden under your bed for a month?

Five major U.S. cities and the state of California will receive federal help to get unsheltered residents into permanent housing under a new plan launched Thursday as part of the Biden administration's larger goal to reduce homelessness 25% by 2025.
Here is an article on 9/13.
"California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Tuesday the state will intervene in an ongoing federal court case that's barred San Francisco from cleaning up homeless encampments until more shelter beds are available, saying the judge has gone too far and is preventing the state from solving a critical problem."

At least that's what Newsom said.

I don't see her mentioning anything about GOP in this thread. Maybe she said that somewhere else?
To me, Cal's homelessness is not a partisan problem. Cal's high cost of living and its nice weather are the two major reasons leading to high homelessness. No matter which party controls Cal, this problem cannot be fixed easily.
Newsom is a dem, so it's normal for him to place blame on the repubs. Politicians always do that.
