A question for the people living in the East Coast
Do you have to get up at least thirty minutes or an hour early to clear the snow on your driveway in the morning when there is a winter storm? Are your employers normally ok with people being late on those days?

9月到5月每天下雪的是什么地方?阿拉斯加也不是这样的milkmyduds 写了: 2022年 12月 26日 17:04 叔从北面搬到德州
就是8年里每年9月到5月基本早上都要汗流浃背早起除雪
否则车开不出,后来有钱了买了除雪机,still it's a lot of work
公司没有特别的因为除雪可以迟到的政策
因为除雪是part of life up north lol
娃都喜欢雪though

Re: A question for the people living in the East Coast
Here in LA, there are not too many raining days. Once it rains during morning commute hours, many people will be late for work. My employer is kind of ok with us being a little late on those days. But I don't know about other employers.
How about schools on the stormy days? Do they open late? I miss my high school days. When it's very/too hot, school was dismissed an hour or two earlier. When it's foggy in the winter, school opened an hour or two late, and we could get back to bed for more sleep after seeing that on the TV.
