“上医”一词最早见于《国语·晋语八》：“文子曰：'医及国家乎？ '对曰：'上医医国，其次疾人，固医官也。 '”也就是说，真正高明的医生，首先要能够治理国家，其次才能诊疗人的疾病或者处理更细微的事情。
