There are no technical reviews of Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) version 14 available in the provided sources or general knowledge as of June 24, 2025. FSD v14 is still in development, with no public release or detailed testing data shared. However, some insights about its anticipated features and current sentiment can be gleaned from available information.
FSD v14 is expected to introduce significant advancements, including auto-regressive transformers to improve prediction of other road users’ behavior, aiming for more human-like decision-making. It will reportedly integrate audio data for the first time, enabling the system to respond to emergency vehicle sirens, horns, or accident noises, potentially enhancing safety and responsiveness. The version is also said to rely on a larger AI model with approximately four times the parameters of previous versions, though it’s still in an alpha stage and requires further refinement before deployment. There’s mention of high-definition maps created from Tesla’s fleet data to improve navigation, though some X posts suggest this might be for training rather than real-time use.
Sentiment on X indicates cautious optimism but skepticism about readiness. Users note that v14 is likely intended for Tesla’s Robotaxi service, with a potential release tied to its launch in June 2025, but it’s expected to remain in supervised mode initially for validation. Some express concerns about the timeline and whether the system will meet safety expectations for unsupervised driving, given issues with prior versions like v13.
Without concrete reviews or release notes, it’s speculative to assess v14’s performance. Current FSD versions (e.g., v13.2.9) show improvements in smoothness and navigation but still require frequent driver intervention, with critical disengagements reported every 371 miles on average for v13.2.9. Issues like lane changes, speed control, and handling complex scenarios persist, suggesting v14 will need to address these to achieve its goals.
For the latest updates, you might want to monitor Tesla’s official channels or community forums like Tesla Motors Club, as v14’s release and reviews will likely appear there first. If you’d like, I can search for more recent discussions on X or the web to see if new information has emerged. Would you like me to do that?
There’s no definitive confirmation from Tesla’s official channels that the Robotaxi service is running Full Self-Driving (FSD) version 14. However, several posts on X from June 2025 speculate that the Robotaxi service, launched in Austin, Texas, on June 22, 2025, may be using an early or experimental version of FSD v14. For instance, users suggest that the unsupervised FSD software on Robotaxi Model Ys could be v14, citing its advanced capabilities compared to v13.3, which was unexpectedly used for the initial launch. Others note that v14, with a 4.5x larger AI model, is expected to enhance performance significantly and might be merged into the main branch soon.
On the other hand, some sources indicate the Robotaxi service is running an “unsupervised” version of FSD, described as a new software iteration, but don’t explicitly name it v14. Reports from TechCrunch and Reuters mention the use of a new software version distinct from the supervised FSD (v13.2.9 or v13.3), but details remain sparse. Elon Musk has referred to it as “unmodified Tesla cars” with a new software build, implying it’s a step beyond current consumer FSD versions.
Given the lack of concrete evidence, it’s likely the Robotaxi service is using a specialized software build, possibly an early v14 or a custom variant optimized for geofenced autonomous operation. However, without official release notes or technical reviews, this remains speculative. For the most accurate information, keep an eye on Tesla’s announcements or check community discussions on platforms like Tesla Motors Club. tesla掌控新媒体,外加一群粉丝,对待这个公司的看待和你的想法完全不同,所以看看就行,别真上头。
