VESA announced version 2.1b of the DisplayPort standard on 6 January 2025. It will be released in Spring 2025. 80.00 Gbit/s

HDMI 2.2 was announced on January 6, 2025, it was released on June 25, 2025. The maximum allowed bit rate is increased to 96 Gbit/s and Latency Indication Protocol (LIP) support is added for improving audio and video synchronization.
