YORKTOWN, N.Y. - New York State Police are investigating the apparent suicide of a 53-year-old Briarcliff Manor man whose body was recovered Sunday from the Croton Reservoir, said Trooper A.J. Hicks, public information officer for Troop K.
Emergency personnel were dispatched to the reservoir near the AMVETS Bridge around 11:28 a.m. Sunday. The Yorktown Fire Department, with assistance from state police, removed Xiaohu Liu from the reservoir. Though the incident remains under investigation, Hicks told Yorktown News that Liu’s death is “consistent with suicide.”
