The group of lenders, which includes Citi (C.N), opens new tab, MUFG [RIC:RIC:MTFGTU.UL], Barclays (BARC.L), opens new tab, TD Bank (TD.TO), opens new tab, Santander (SAN.MC), opens new tab and BNP Paribas (BNPP.PA), opens new tab, will work together to explore creating blockchain-based assets pegged to G7 currencies, the banks said in a statement on Friday.
