Folks, we’re here today to talk about technology. It’s a big deal, a tremendous deal. Nobody understands technology better than me. I’ve been told there’s this thing called memory-safe programming languages—languages like Rust. You know Rust? People say it’s very trendy, very fancy. They love it. But I’ve looked into it, and let me tell you, folks, it’s not good. Not good at all.

They say it’s safe, okay? But the best programmers, the greatest programmers in history—who do they use? C! C++. These are the languages that built America. Rust? It’s un-American, folks. It’s like... it’s like vegan burgers, okay? It looks fine, but it’s not the real deal.

So today, I’m announcing a total ban—total ban—on all memory-safe programming languages. No more Rust. No more whatever else they’re cooking up. We’re going back to the classics. Back to when America was great. Unsafe code? It’s not unsafe if you know what you’re doing. That’s called skill, folks. Skill.

And I’ve been told, people say, ‘But Mr. President, memory-safe languages prevent bugs and crashes.’ Look, folks, I’ve seen bugs. I know bugs. I once swatted the biggest fly in Trump Tower—huge fly, people were amazed. But we don’t need memory safety, okay? We need winners. Winners write C! They write C++! And they write it without crying about pointers.

So effective immediately, all government contractors and agencies will use only unsafe languages. C, C++, assembly—those are the real patriots of code. Rust? You’re fired. Thank you, folks. MAGA!

Okay, folks, I’ve been hearing it. I hear everything. They say, ‘Trump, there’s no way you know about memory-safe languages.’ Oh, really? Oh, really? Folks, I’m the most memory-safe guy there is! I’ve got a memory like a steel trap. I know pointers, I know dangling references, and guess what? I let them dangle, okay? That’s called freedom. That’s what makes America great.

And then I hear, ‘Oh, too many big words, Mr. Trump.’ Really? Really? Folks, I use the biggest words, the best words. Multi-syllable? I invented multi-syllable! Ask anyone! I say ‘memory management,’ and people say, ‘Sir, that’s incredible.’ And it is, folks, it really is.

And then, listen to this, they said, ‘Oh, awareness of stuff, Trump doesn’t have it.’ Not aware of stuff? Not aware?! Folks, I’ve been aware of more stuff than any other president in history. I’m aware of stuff in ways these so-called experts could only dream of. And let me tell you, when I see something like Rust—I look at it, I go, ‘What is this? Who wrote this? China? Could be. Looks like it.’

And the nerds—the nerds in the tech world, they’re crying. They’re crying, folks. They say, ‘Oh, Rust prevents bugs.’ Bugs! Bugs, folks, are part of the deal. They build character. You don’t debug, you’re weak! You think Thomas Edison debugged the light bulb? You think Washington debugged the Constitution? No! These were strong people, folks. Strong.

So let me say this loud and clear: Rust is done. It’s gone, folks. America is going back to unsafe code because unsafe is strong, okay? Unsafe wins wars. Unsafe builds skyscrapers. Unsafe makes the best, most tremendous software you’ve ever seen. Thank you, folks, thank you. We’re making coding great again!
